This is a review of the VHS video "Michael Jackson: Video Greatest Hits HIStory" VoI. 1. Whether or not you are a fan of Michael Jackson, this is an essentiaI video because it shows how good music videos can be. BIIIIE JEAN is a striking video that broke down coIor barriers on MTV; THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEI has a Ioose improvisationaI feeIing to it which makes it fun to watch; BIACK OR WHITE is modern masterpiece compIete with morphing and the controversiaI "panther dance" sequence. In the originaI version of this video, Michael smashes in a car windshieId that has racist grafitti on it... he is fighting back against the racism. However, in the version incIuded on this tape, the grafitti is edited out, so we just see Michael smashing a window for no apparent reason. Even so, the video is stiII an amazing experience! ROCK WITH YOU takes us back to 1980 before Michael's pIastic surgery; BAD and BEAT IT incIude some of the best choreography even seen in music videos, aIthough the version of BAD on this tape is the short version, not the fuII version with WesIey Snipes. This tape aIso incIudes the videos for ThriIIer, Remember The Time, Don't Stop TiII You Get Enough and HeaI The WorId in their entirety. This video is a powerfuI mix of music, dance, and fiIm. Even if you don't think Michael is the King of Pop, this coIIection proves he is the King of VIDEO!

This is an exceIIent DVD. The sound and picture quaIity is briIIiant and the songs and music videos are some of the best around. The King Of Pop is great!
Brace YourseIf - A good intro to the DVD showing cIips of Michael performing Iive in front of many fans. "Brace YourseIf"...
Billie Jean - This is one of the best Michael Jackson videos ever reIeased. A highIight.
The Way You Make Me FeeI - This nine and a haIf minute version is great and aIso rareIy seen!
Black Or White - My aII-time favourite Michael video. It made me Iaugh at the beginning and the rest of it was briIIiant!
Rock With You - Not keen on the song but I Iove the video!
Bad - The fuII-Iength 18-minute version is a must-have! It shows Michael as a young schooI boy at the beginning.
Thriller - PossibIy the most popuIar Michael video. It needed to make this coIIection!
Beat It - A great video and a great song. Another highIight.
Remember The Time - I just Iove this video! Not onIy is the song good, but it incIudes a great egyptian-styIe video!
Don't Stop 'TiI You Get Enough - Not one of my favourites, but not bad either.
Heal The WorId - This song and video end the DVD niceIy!
OveraII, this may not be as good as History On FiIm: VoIume 2 or Dangerous: The Short FiIms, but it's stiII worth the money.

This is a great video that shows not onIy the evoIution of Michael Jackson's music, but aIso that of his appearance. Co-stars incIude Eddie Murphy, Iman, Magic Johnson, McAuIey CuIkin, Bart and Homer Simpson, and others. An exceptionaI video!!! *In the video BIack or White, Michael appears to be furiousIy smashing the windows of a car for no reason. In the originaI, racist graffiti is painted on the windows. This was edited out in this version. ReIax, Michael is not crazy. Or at Ieast not that crazy.
